    The Healthcare Advisory Board is comprised of key healthcare professionals, physician thought leaders, nurses, pharmacists and patients who offer their opinions and views on a variety of healthcare issues by participating in online market research surveys. The Healthcare Advisory Board has offered a voice from the world of medicine to major manufacturers of healthcare products and healthcare service providers for over 25 years.

  2. Who can be part of the Healthcare Advisory Board?
    Physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals and individuals that are interested in health matters can all be part of the Healthcare Advisory Board. If you decide to be part of the Healthcare Advisory Board, you simply have to make sure that you accurately identify your current status (physician, person looking for health information, nurse, medical student, etc.). That way, you will only receive invitations for surveys that are pertinent to you.

  3. Why should I join?
    Your opinion is very valuable and contributes significantly to healthcare. By participating in online market research surveys, your experience and ideas contribute to decisions that have an impact on the availability and delivery of medical products and services. Online surveys are fun and convenient! In addition to designing our surveys so that they provide answers to key health issues, we try to make them interactive and fun. That way they can be easily completed at a time that is convenient for you without interfering with your professional and personal activities. You will be eligible to receive financial honoraria or another form of compensation for expressing your views on topics researched during the year.

  5. How often would I be asked to participate in your surveys?
    Participation could range from once a month to once a year. It is difficult to assess because the frequency at which you would be invited to participate in a survey depends on a number of factors. As soon as a survey is available that is appropriate for you, you will receive an e-mail invitation.

  6. Do I have to answer all surveys to which I am invited?
    No. When you agree to join the Healthcare Advisory Board, you only agree to receive invitations (by e-mail) from time to time to participate in various surveys. You do not have to commit to anything else. Joining the Healthcare Advisory Board does not oblige you to participate in any specific survey for which you receive an invitation.

  7. When I receive an invitation do I have to participate right away?
    No. Whether it's early in the morning, during the day, or at night, you can complete online market research surveys at a time that does not interfere with your other activities. It is suggested that you complete the survey as soon as you possibly can after you receive the invitation. Otherwise, the survey could be finished and our Website closed when you decide to participate.

    The length of each survey varies, However you can find the length of each study advertised in the invitation.

  9. How is the information I provide going to be used?
    The clients of Medefield, who commission market research surveys, use the information provided by respondents in aggregate to make more informed decisions on healthcare issues. By participating in Medefield surveys, your experiences and opinions contribute to decisions that have an impact on the healthcare system.

  11. Where did you get my name?
    Members of the Healthcare Advisory Board are individuals who have agreed to be contacted via the Internet to provide us with their opinions on healthcare and medical issues, either when:
    1- Participating in our of our surveys
    2- Visiting other Medical Websites
    3- Referred by a colleague

  12. What is the study about?
    The topic of each study is listed in the subject line. A brief summation is in the beginning of the study.

  13. Can I use a link my colleagues received?
    Please only use the invitation that was sent directly to you. Each study has its own set criteria, by replying to a colleague's invitation it may open up the possibility to errors in the study.

  14. Can nurses take part in the studies?
    Most of our invitations are addressed as "Dear Physician". However, please continue to participate in the studies that you are invited to, as your eligibility will be determined by your answers to the pre-screening questions.

  15. Can I receive the study in another language?
    Invitations are sent based on the information you entered when you registered with HAB Community. In order to change your recommended languages please email Laura Malett to update your profile.

  16. Would I be compensated for the time I spend answering a survey?
    For some surveys, compensation is given to every respondent. For other surveys, lots are randomly drawn among participants and the winners receive compensation. When you receive an invitation for a specific survey, the type of compensation provided will be clearly noted. You can decide whether or not you are interested in participating in a specific survey upon receipt of an invitation.

  17. I entered the wrong information can I redo the study?
    Unfortunately, once a study has been completed, the information submitted is final and cannot be updated. Please note that your answers will not affect your eligibility for future survey opportunities.

  18. When will I be contacted for the telephone interview?
    The date and time that you entered is not a confirmed time for the interview. We ask for this information so that we can do our best to schedule an interview during a time most convenient for you. In some cases, we are able to conduct an interview during your preferred time and one of our recruiters will then call you to formally schedule the confirmed interview date and time. In other cases, we are unfortunately not able to schedule an interview within your preferred schedule. Please note that your interview date and time are not confirmed until you have heard from one of our recruiters.

  19. When will the study close?
    The study closes once our quota has been met. Considering the high level of interest in our studies, we recommend that those who wish to participate do so as soon as possible, upon receiving the invitation.

  20. When can I expect my payment?
    Please allow 4-6 weeks from the time of completing a study, in order to receive your honoraria.

  21. Can I receive a partial honorarium?
    Only completed surveys will receive an honorarium.

  22. Honorarium is too low can the amount be increased?
    Participation in each survey is voluntary. We can only send the honorarium that was advertised in your invite and the study.

  23. How can I redeem my Amazon voucher?
    To redeem your Amazon Gift Certificate, please follow these steps:
    Step 1: Visit the Amazon Website.
    Step 2: Click "Apply to Your Account" (on the left column, under "Manage your cards") and enter the claim code when prompted.
    Step 3: These gift certificate funds will be applied automatically to eligible orders during the checkout process.
    Step 4: You must pay for any remaining balance on your order with a credit card or other acceptable form of payment.
    Your gift certificate claim code may also be entered when prompted during the checkout process, but you will not be able to redeem your gift certificate using the Amazon.com 1-Click® service or downloadable products unless you first redeem the gift certificate to Your Account.

  24. How are Amazon vouchers sent?
    Amazon voucher will be sent the email address you provided at the end of the survey. In order to ensure timely receipt of your Amazon payment, we ask you to please verify that your email settings allow email addresse "lauram@medefield.com" to be added as a contact in your email address book.

  25. When do vouchers expire?
    Amazon vouchers do not expire. French Amazon Vouchers expire in 2 years from issuance. Germany Amazon vouchers expire in 3 years from issuance. United Kingdom Amazon vouchers expire in 3 years from issuance.

  26. When do checks expire?
    Checks are valid for 1 year. Depending on your banking institution you may only have 6 months to deposit your honorarium without penalty.

  27. Can I change the form of payment check or Amazon voucher?
    The honorarium that will be sent is the option that was chosen by you at the end of the study. This honorarium has already been processed and cannot be changed.

  28. Can my payment be sent directly to my bank account?
    No. We do not send honorariums directly to your bank account.

  29. Why do I need to enter my address information?
    We ask for your address so that we have the most up to date information to send you your honorarium.

  32. Can I remove my name?
    Yes. At any time you can decide to opt-out of the Healthcare Advisory Board. If you do not want to participate in any other market research surveys, you can visit the opt-out page and request your name to be removed from the Healthcare Advisory Board. We will opt you out immediately and send you an e-mail confirming that we will no longer send you invitations to participate in online surveys.
